Working with clients that have a real passion for interior design really adds a new dimension to the design process. Our client brought their own thoughts and ideas to the drawing board, questioning our intent and pushing for the very best, from the colour of the mortar, right through to the final furnishings. Being Bert’s second restaurant, our client wanted this city centre concept to have a more ‘fast-casual’ vibe, with a fresh approach to the interior, while retaining the warmth of the original rural restaurant. The space was transformed using a feature ceiling to lower the eye line to focus on the more important interior elements and the fantastic view of the river Hull estuary.
